Soldier jailed for sexually motivated messages to child

Nivesh Beekhun, of Beacon Hill in Keighley, has been sentenced for attempting to meet a girl under the age of sixteen after grooming her between May and December 2021.

Beekhun was serving in the British Army’s Royal Artillery Corps at the time of the offenses, having moved from his native Mauritius. After moving to the Topcliffe Army barracks, the defence barrister stated that he was alone and without anyone.
